To work with the Malaysian government to institute registration for psychologists which will safeguard the profession of psychology and ensure a high level of service and ethical practice.
To encourage greater cooperation, coordination and partnership among Malaysian universities' psychology departments, of which will raise the standards of academic programs and will encourage more research collaboration in Malaysian psychology.
PSIMA work closely with various organisations to conduct events throughout the country.ย

JURNAL PSIKOLOGI MALAYSIA (The Malaysian Journal of Psychology) is published by PSIMA in-collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. It is an international peer-reviewed journal that covers Malaysian researches in various fields of psychology, such as cognition, social psychology, developmental psychology, counselling, education, and industrial and organizational psychology.
