Full Members are Malaysians who have recognized training and experience in the field of Psychology according to one of the following requirements (a) or (b) or (c):
Criteria (a):
  1. Has an undergraduate degree in the field of psychology or equivalent AND 
  2. Has a postgraduate degree in the field of psychology
Criteria (b): 
  1. Has an undergraduate degree other than in the field of psychology AND 
  2. Has a postgraduate degree in the field of psychology AND
  3. Completed basic courses in psychology in the eight major fields of psychology
Criteria (c):
  1. Individuals who do not fulfill the above requirements may submit an appeal to the Bureau of Membership and Registration (decision of the bureau is subjected to the established membership registration guidelines)

Steps to Apply
Ensure necessary materials are in order:

For Full Member applicants:-
  1. Completed application form (Applicants that do not have 2 referees can contact the Association for recommendations).
  2. Certified copies of Academic Qualifications
  3. Fees 
    1. 1 year- RM 40 (+ RM 10 for first time applicants) 
    2. 2 years- RM 80 
    3. 3 years- RM 120
(Payment can be made through postal cheque, cash, PayPal and online transaction)

The administrative team will take around 2 weeks to assess the application. Successful applicants will be assigned a membership number and their names will appear on the PSIMA website.

The Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA) and HELP University invites you to submit research, proposals for symposia and workshops for the 2017 Malaysian International Psychology Conference (MIPC).

This year’s conference theme is ‘The Psychology of Peace’, and will feature keynote addresses and presentations revolving around diversity, harmony, unity and ethnic relations.
