MAPSA 2016


Dear Students, Practitioners, and Psychologists:

An annual event previously known as the Malaysian Psychology Conference (MPC), the Malaysian Psychology Students Assembly (MAPSA) provides a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate psychology students to present their research, learn about the latest ideas in psychology, attend skill-workshops, and network with students from different campuses around the country.

This year, PSIMA aims to target 1,000 students to attend MAPSA 2016.

Submission for abstracts will close on 30th September 2016. 
 
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 7th October 2016.

The presentation formats are oral presentations, or poster presentations.

Oral presentations: Individual or co-authored paper. The duration of an oral presentation is 15 minutes, including discussion time.

Poster presentations
: Individual or co-authored poster. The size of a poster should be approximately and no more than 85cm (height) x 60cm (width)



Word limit for presentation titles is 18 words (in English). Word limit for abstracts is 150 words (in English). We encourage empirical papers in all presentations but we also welcome proposals or non-data-driven/non-research papers.

If English is not the authors' first language, we recommend that the abstract is checked by somebody who is fluent in English prior to submission. Abstracts cannot be modified once they have been submitted.

Deadline for Registration and Payment: 15 October 2016

Conference Fees: RM50*

*this fee covers both days, and will be RM50 for both staff and students, regardless of the number of days the delegate attends the conference. Please note that this fee covers registration for the conference but does not include meals. Several food trucks and stalls will be available at the conference venue for purchase of food and drinks.
